Job summary

TAAL Tech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Lead Engineer for onsite leadership of project teams across multiple offices.

You will own the electrical engineering scope, supervise senior engineers and designers, and coordinate with procurement and construction to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards. You will lead international assignments, work with teams in Finland, Netherlands and Singapore, and be prepared for travel to construction sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
• 08+ years of hands-on experience in engineering, detailing and checking in consultancy or EPC.
• Experience leading electrical engineering teams on international projects in oil & gas.

Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, budgets and resources to meet scope and timelines.
• Produce deliverables including design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, reports and drawings.
• Perform QA/QC checks and ensure engineering compliance across the team.
• Support procurement and construction activities as needed.

The Role:

The Electrical Lead Engineer will be located at Onsite and lead the project teams in designated projects:

• Working hands-on on different projects from Finland, Netherlands and Singapore offices.
• Leading different project teams of Senior Engineers, Engineers, Designers and other experts in the execution of the full range of engineering works in several projects within the Electrical discipline.
• Loading the team members with work by identifying work assignments from different projects that are in execution at different client locations (onsite).
• Ownership of the Electrical engineering part of the project work in designated multidiscipline investment projects.
• Supervising the schedule, cost, quality of work, scope and co-operation with other engineering disciplines, procurement and construction support.
• Reporting to the client Project Manager and Line Manager.

Major Duties

The following are the major duties of the Electrical Lead Engineer:

• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure completion on time and within scope.
• Responsible for production of deliverables by self and from the team of engineers, which may include engineering support to the client Leads in design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, tendering packages, estimations, 3D modeling assignments, drawings, and documents.
• Performs Inter-discipline and discipline QA/QC checks and engineering compliance checks on all works performed by the engineers within the team.
• Support in procurement and construction activities of the projects.
• Responsible for project reporting and estimation of Electrical engineering part as per client delivery model and practices.
• Responsible for projects management and people management practices of Electrical engineering part of the project as per client delivery model.
• Ensure maximum utilization of the team and good health of the projects.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Competencies

The Electrical Lead Engineer shall have the following minimum experience and knowledge:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited University.
• Minimum 08+ years’ relevant experience with hands-on in engineering, designing, detailing, and checking in an engineering consultancy or EPC company and with exposure on international projects within the oil and gas industry.
• Experience in leading the Electrical engineering teams in demanding industrial investment projects, supervising and guiding a team of Electrical engineers and reporting to project managers.
• Experience in international long-term assignments.
• Site construction and commissioning experience is an added advantage.
• Applicants must be flexible to work in Europe on a long-term basis.
• Should demonstrate engineering leadership and ownership of the designated projects.
• Must possess a strong working knowledge of downstream oil & gas and/or petrochemical units and operating principles.
• Must possess a thorough knowledge of industry practices, tools, codes and standards as applicable to the discipline, such as Eurocode.
• Must demonstrate extensive knowledge of Electrical Engineering on industrial projects.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, regulations, and practices applicable to the design and construction of onshore Electrical facilities. Experience on European projects would be preferable.
• Good English communication skills and experience in the preparation of business and technical documentation.
• Excellent Time Management and co-operation skills.
