Job Title: Electrical Project EngineerLocation: BangaloreIndustry: MEP Design ConsultancyExperience: 3-5 YearsEmployment Type: Full-TimeJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Project Engineer to join our MEP Design Consulting team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in the design, engineering, and coordination of electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing electrical designs, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting project delivery from concept through construction.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects.Prepare detailed electrical design calculations, layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), schematics, and specifications.Design LT/HT power distribution systems, lighting systems, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV systems.Perform load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, fault level studies, and short-circuit analysis.Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders.Review and approve shop drawings, technical submittals, and vendor documents.Ensure compliance with local regulations, NBC, IS Codes, IEC standards, and client requirements.Participate in project meetings and provide technical support during design reviews.Conduct site visits, inspections, and resolve technical issues during project execution.Support project planning, scheduling, and timely delivery of engineering documents.Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documentation.Assist in commissioning and handover activities as required.Required Qualifications:-Diploma, bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (B.E./B.Tech) and EEE.3-5 years of experience in MEP Design Consultancy.Proven experience in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, warehouses, manufacturing plants, data centers, or similar projects.Strong understanding of electrical design principles and engineering standards.Required Technical Skills:Proficiency in AutoCAD.Working knowledge of MEP ProjectsExperience in electrical calculation software such as ETAP, Dialux, or equivalent.Knowledge of HT/LT systems, DG systems, UPS, lighting, earthing, and ELV systems.Familiarity with National Building Code (NBC), IS Standards, IEC Codes, and local authority regulations.Ability to prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and BOQs.Preferred Skills:Excellent communication and coordination skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects and work within deadlines.Experience in BIM-integrated project environments will be an added advantage.Key Competencies:Electrical Design EngineeringProject CoordinationTechnical DocumentationQuality Assurance & ComplianceClient InteractionTeam CollaborationTime ManagementInterested candidates should have hands-on experience in designing and coordinating electrical systems for large-scale commercial and industrial projects within an MEP consulting environment.Location Preference: Bangalore or willing to relocate to Bangalore.
