Job summary

Qualifications

E&I Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer) is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems and instrumentation equipment in industrial plants.

Job Title: Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

Department: Engineering / Maintenance

Industry: Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Plant, Manufacturing, Chemical, or EPC Projects

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to read technical drawings and follow safety procedures.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment, field instruments, control systems, and testing tools.
• Experience in electrical maintenance, instrumentation, or industrial projects is preferred.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
• Coordinate with operations, mechanical, civil, and project teams to complete work safely and on schedule.
• Prepare maintenance reports, inspection reports, test records, and equipment documentation.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and LOTO requirements.
• Supervise cable laying, glanding, termination, and instrument tubing activities.
• Support PLC, DCS, SCADA, and control system maintenance.
• Maintain control valves, actuators, solenoid valves, and related instrumentation.
• Perform loop checking, continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, and functional testing.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and instrumentation problems.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
• Maintain electrical motors, transformers, switchgear, MCC panels, and distribution boards.
• Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and instrumentation systems.
