Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 8–12 years of experience in electrical projects.
• Based at Ahmedabad Corporate Office with project responsibility across locations.
• Experience in greenfield projects or plant setup is preferred.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to manage and execute electrical projects across the organization. The candidate will be based at the Ahmedabad Corporate Office and will be responsible for project planning, execution, monitoring, contractor coordination, and commissioning of electrical systems at plant locations.

Candidates with experience in greenfield projects, plant setup, and electrical infrastructure development will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Project Management

• Plan, coordinate, and execute electrical projects from concept and design review through installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Manage electrical project timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and project deliverables.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with plant teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

2. Electrical Design & Infrastructure

• Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), load calculations, and technical specifications.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of transformers, HT/LT panels, PCC/MCC panels, motors, cabling, earthing, lighting, and electrical distribution systems.
• Review electrical layouts, equipment sizing, and contractor proposals for technical compliance.
• Ensure electrical infrastructure meets applicable standards and project requirements.

3. Greenfield Projects & Plant Expansion

• Support electrical planning and execution for greenfield manufacturing plants and new facility setups.
• Coordinate electrical infrastructure development, equipment installation, and utility connections.
• Manage electrical requirements for plant expansions, capacity enhancements, and modernization projects.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and utility teams to ensure smooth project execution.

4. Vendor & Contractor Management

• Evaluate technical offers, review BOQs, and support vendor selection and procurement.
• Coordinate with electrical contractors and consultants for installation and execution activities.
• Monitor contractor performance, work quality, safety, and adherence to project schedules.
• Review project documentation, measurement records, and contractor bills as required.

5. Testing, Commissioning & Compliance

• Ensure inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical installations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety standards and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, approvals, and documentation wherever applicable.
• Ensure proper documentation of drawings, test reports, equipment manuals, and commissioning records.

6. Project Monitoring & Reporting

• Prepare project progress reports, cost updates, risk assessments, and management presentations.
• Identify execution delays, technical issues, and cost overruns, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with plant engineering teams to resolve project-related issues.
• Support standardization of electrical specifications and project execution practices across locations.

Preferred Experience

• Greenfield project execution or new plant setup experience will be an added advantage.
