Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is recruiting a senior electrical engineer for Water and Wastewater projects in Bengaluru. The role focuses on applying international design codes to pumping stations and treatment plants, with prior experience in Middle East and UK projects.

You will develop SLDs, load lists, schedules, and specifications, perform cable/transformer sizing, and use Amtech Pro Design, ETAP, and Dialux evo. Strong reporting, teamwork, and independent delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 7–10 years’ experience in water/wastewater pumping stations and treatment plants.
• Experience on Middle East and UK projects.
• Proficient in Amtech Pro design / ETAP and Dialux evo.
• Proficient in Revit and MS Office; strong reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of international electrical standards and their applications.
• Prepare Single Line Diagram (SLD).
• Prepare Electrical load lists & Switchgear/Distribution Board schedules.
• Cable sizing, transformer sizing, power factor correction, lighting, earthing and lightning system.
• Prepare Electrical installation specifications.
• Review MCC control schematics.
• Prepare power, control & interconnection cable schedules.
• Prepare electrical equipment datasheets.
• Write professional reports.
• Identify and communicate concerns to supervisor.
• Work with team across locations and deliver tasks on time.

Bachelors/master’s degree in electrical engineering plus typically 7 to 10 years of relevant Water and Wastewater pumping stations and treatment plant experience.

Developed technical competencies beyond those of a fresh graduate. Take responsibilities for their own work and produce higher quality technical output.

Your role

• Understanding of international electrical standards, design codes and their applications in Water and Wastewater pumping stations and treatment plants.
• Experience of working on Middle East and UK projects.
• Preparation of Single Line Diagram.
• Preparation of Electrical load Lists & Switchgear/Distribution Board Schedules.
• Calculations - Cable sizing, transformer sizing, breaker sizing, power factor correction, lighting, earthing & lightning system.
• Layouts - Electrical equipment, lighting, cable routing and duct sizing, earthing, lightning protection etc.
• Preparation of Electrical Installation specification.
• Review of Control schematic drawings of MCCs.
• Preparation of power, control & interconnection cable schedules.
• Preparation of electrical equipment data sheets.
• Knowledge of Amtech Pro design / ETAP or any other equivalent - Cable sizing, Fault Calculations, Discrimination study.
• Dialux evo or any other equivalent – Lighting Calculations.
• Proficient Knowledge in MS Office tools.
• Proficient in Revit modelling.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Writing professional reports.
• Identifies and communicates concerns to immediate supervisor.
• Ability to listen, understand and follow instructions.
• Sense of team.
• Willingness to accept individual responsibilities.

• Experience of working on Middle East is must and desirable if he has worked on UK.
