Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for on-site management of E&I activities in a construction environment in Chennai. The role requires leading erection, testing and commissioning of electrical systems, with instrumentation knowledge and hands-on handling of HT/LT panels and related equipment.

The candidate will attend client meetings, supervise contractors, and ensure timely punch clearance, FAT/SAT support, and as-built documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical construction projects.
• Experience in erection, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of instrumentation preferred.
• Proven ability to mobilise and manage manpower on site.
• Experience with client/site meetings and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Attend client/site meetings for daily execution activities.
• Lead E&I work on site with large project scope.
• Support FAT/SAT installation, loop checking, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Update and verify as-built drawings and resolve technical issues.
• Manage contractor engagement and manpower mobilization.

Job description

Electrical engineer with minimum 6-15 Years’ experience in construction field . Should have experience in Erection Testing and Commissioning of Electrical equipment’s .Knowledge in instrumentation also must.

Should have experience in handling of HT /LT panels, Relays, VFD’s, Transformers, GIS panels, cabling etc.

Should have experience in refinery standard formats .Responsibility includes Employment of contractor and mobilising manpower.

Have capability to resolve any technical problems faced during the project execution.

Have to attend the client meeting /site meetings for the daily execution activities.

Should have handled independently minimum one site with large volume of E&I work.

Support during FAT / SAT Installation, loop checking, pre-commissioning & commissioning

Attend punch points and ensure timely punch clearance. Update and verify as-built drawings.
