Job summary

Iquest Management Consultants in India is seeking an experienced Harness Design Engineer to lead the design and development of wiring harnesses for heavy equipment, automotive, and off‑highway applications, ensuring feasibility from concept through integration.

You will apply Creo cabling and Capital Harness System tools, read electrical schematics and topology, perform load calculations and fuse selections, and collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams to deliver reliable subsystems with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical/Mechanical engineering with first class and minimum 60% marks.
• Minimum 6 years relevant experience with bachelor’s degree or 8 with Diploma in wiring harness design/support in heavy equipment/automotive/off-highway equipment.
• Experience with electrical design fundamentals.
• Exposure to 3D CAD modeling and wiring harness drawing creation.
• Expertise with ECAD tools like Capital Harness System and Creo Routing Design.
• Knowledge of harness design standards and component selection considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead harness design and development efforts for wiring harnesses.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics and topology.
• Hands-on experience with ECAD tools like Capital Harness and Creo Routing Design.

Basic Qualification: Bachelors degree or diploma in: Electrical Engineering,/Mechanical engineering with first class with minimum 60%of marks.

• Overall work experience: Minimum 6 years relevant experience with bachelor’s degree or 8 with Diploma with wiring harness design/support preferably in Heavy Equipment /Automotive /off highway equipment’s
• CAD Tool:
• Experience in routing and modification using Creo cabling
• Capital Harness system (CHS) Experience, including:

Position Specific Duties

• This position requires an extensive experience in the field of Harnesses Design & Development
• Very good understanding of Electrical schematics and Electrical Topology
• Extensive hands-on experience on ECAD tools like Capital harness and Creo Routing Design
• Must be aware of load calculations & fuse selections basics
• Exposure to Electrical components selection criteria & exposure to Design of Electrical sub-systems

Required Skills are

• Knowledge of Electrical design Fundaments.
• Should have exposure of working on 3D CAD modeling and wiring harness drawing creation.
