Job summary

Iquest Management Consultants is seeking an Engineer/Sr. Engineer-Wiring Harness in Bengaluru to lead end-to-end harness design, including schematic creation, routing, packaging, and documentation in line with customer specifications and international standards.

Responsibilities cover product development of wiring harnesses, BOM breakdown, and process flow, with hands-on use of CAD tools like NX, CREO and SolidWorks, and strong collaboration with clients to understand requirements and deliver

Qualifications

• Experience in wiring harness product development and design.
• Ability to select components and identify equivalents.
• BOM breakdown and process breakdown understanding.
• Ability to interpret client requirements and work independently.
• Familiarity with electrical harness testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end wiring harness design, including schematic creation and routing.
• Routing, packaging, and documentation per customer specs and standards.
• Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and deliver compliant solutions.
• Utilize CAD tools to develop product designs and support certification processes.

Diploma / B.Tech / BE (Should have sound experience in wiring

harness design and development)

About the Job-

As an Sr Wiring Harness Design Engineer in R&D, Responsible for end-to-end harness design including

schematic creation, routing, packaging, and documentation in

compliance with customer specifications and international

standards

MANDATORY SKILLS

Should have a wiring harness product development

Knowledge.

Component Selection and finding the equivalent

BOM breakdown and Process Breakdown

Understanding the requirements of the client and should

handle independentely

Should have a good knowledge on the CADD (Solid works ,

Catia , Nx )

Good Communication

technical SKILLS

Specialied in Wiring Harness manufacturing , product

design and development and harness assembling process.

Should have skilled to understand the customer and

engineering drawing and documents.

Should have good knowledge on wire , terminal , connector

and other components .

Should have hands on experience in the process time

calculation

Should have a good hands on experience in routing board

and jigs development .

Should have good knowledge in the product certification

requirements.

Should have good knowledge on the harness electrical

testing requirements.

Hands on experience on the different type of harness assy

process

Automation or any classical wiring harness process is an

added advantage

Knowledge on QMS ISO 9001, AS9100 & IATF 16949

APQP , FMEA , Control Plan , PPAP and SPC

Should be good in CADD tool like , NX , CREO , Solid Works

etc
