Job summary

Orbit & Skyline is seeking an Electrical/Electronics Engineer with 1-3 years of experience to drive obsolescence management and develop robust electrical designs. You will work with multidisciplinary teams across geographies to qualify replacements, create specifications, and generate detailed manufacturing drawings.

Proficiency in AUTOCAD, Zuken, and PCAD is valued. The role emphasizes hands-on testing, documentation, and active participation in design reviews to ensure reliability from concept

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work on obsolescence activities to qualify replacements and perform testing with documentation
• End-to-end ownership: collaborate with mechanical, software, system and process engineering across geographies
• Generate design concepts and develop detailed drawings for manufacturing
• Create/update component specifications and cable assemblies/schematics
• Design/update cable assemblies and schematics using AUTOCAD, Zuken, PCAD
• Participate in design reviews to present the design through all phases

Job description

Orbit & Skyline is looking forward to onboarding a highly skilled "Electrical/Electronics Engineer" with a good understanding of various electronics/electrical components.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Work on obsolescence activities to qualify replacements, perform testing to qualify and release in the system along with the documentation
• End-to-end ownership: Work collaboratively with the cross-functional team comprising mechanical, software, system and process engineering (in different geographies) to develop and qualify engineering solutions.
• Rapidly generate design concepts that will develop into detailed drawings to manufacture those concepts.
• Create/update component specification sheet as per requirements.
• Design/update cable assemblies, interconnects & schematics as per requirements using AUTOCAD/Zuken/PCAD software.
• Participate in design reviews to present the design throughout the different phases of design and development.

Eligibility Criteria

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics with 1-3 years of experience.
• Master's degree is preferred.

Mandatory Skills:

• Must have a good understanding of the electrical/electronics components, schematics/system interconnect.
• Must be able to select and recommend components depending upon application and circuit requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Critical/system-level thinking.
• Good project management skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good to have:

• Exposure to working on part lifecycle management, change orders using any PLM system.
• Experience in working on electronic components obsolescence
• Understanding on PCB and components
• Hands-on experience of testing electronics components- bench-level test and system-level test
• Hands-on experience with AUTOCAD/Zuken/PCAD software.
