Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the Thermal business, collaborating with Global engineering and product teams. The role involves electrical design for new products, component management in design tools, and coordination with suppliers for prototypes and production builds.

You will develop test cases for electrical safety, coordinate CE/UL testing, and work with Mech, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and serviceability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience writing functional requirements and documenting designs.
• Experience with ELCAD/Creo schematic or similar tools.
• Experience with VMM, oscilloscopes, and other debug tools.
• Ability to execute schedules for hardware board development lifecycles.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Job Description

The Electrical Engineer supports the Thermal business. The Electrical Engineer interacts with and supports Global engineering and product teams. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer supports Supply Chain, material managers and Quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Design control system and low voltage electrical enclosures
• Support electrical design for new product development.
• Creating and maintain components in the design tools.
• Working with contract resources and/or manufacturers for prototype/production builds
• Develop test case for electrical safety test of product
• Responsible for coordinate for CE / UL testing of product and having sound knowledge on IEC and NEC standards
• Collaborates with other groups, including Mech Engineers, firmware & software developers, system test, customer support, and manufacturing.
• Proficient in Cero schematics and 3‑D cable routing.
• Must have knowledge in NPDI process and its deliverables. Must work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree, Electrical Engineering or related.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of DC / AC Power Supply, mainly 24 V – 48 VDC and 400 V – 3PH – 50 Hz / 460 V‑3Ph‑60 Hz.
• 7+ years of experience using Electrical panel Life‑cycle management or Product documentation management tools.
• Fluency in English.
• Proficiency in writing functional requirements and documenting designs.
• Experience with ELCAD/Creo schematic or similar tools.
• Experience with VMM, oscilloscopes, and other debug tools.
• Ability to execute schedules for hardware board development lifecycles.
• Ability to debug, validate, and support manufacturing tests on board‑level products.
• Experience in design for serviceability and manufacturability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are mandatory.
