Job summary

Apex Facility Management Services is seeking experienced Electrical Engineers for HVDC platforms. You will lead engineering, design, and execution of HVDC projects, ensuring adherence to international standards and project specifications.

The role requires 5–15 years of Electrical Engineering experience, proficiency in HVDC and offshore/substation projects, and strong collaboration across Civil, Mechanical, and Process teams. Growth opportunities exist within a global client environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
• 5–15 years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• Experience in HVDC, Offshore Platforms, Substations, Power Transmission, or EPC projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical system design and protection philosophy.
• Experience in electrical calculations (load flow, short circuit, cable sizing, earthing).
• Familiarity with IEC/IEEE international codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed electrical engineering and design for HVDC platform projects.
• Prepare and review SLDs, schematic drawings, cable schedules, and electrical layouts.
• Develop specifications and datasheets for electrical equipment.
• Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Instrumentation, and Process Engineering.
• Review vendor documents for compliance with project requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NEC standards.
• Support project execution by resolving technical issues and providing engineering solutions.
• Prepare engineering deliverables within project schedules and quality standards.

Role & responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Electrical Engineers with expertise in High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) platforms to join our engineering team. The selected candidates will be responsible for the engineering, design, and execution of HVDC projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed electrical engineering and design for HVDC platform projects.
• Prepare and review single-line diagrams (SLD), schematic drawings, cable schedules, and electrical layouts.
• Develop specifications and datasheets for electrical equipment.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Civil, Mechanical, Instrumentation, and Process Engineering.
• Review vendor documents and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NEC, and client-specific standards.
• Support project execution by resolving technical issues and providing engineering solutions.
• Prepare engineering deliverables within project schedules and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
• 515 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in HVDC, Offshore Platforms, Substations, Power Transmission, or EPC projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical system design and protection philosophy.
• Experience in electrical calculations such as load flow, short circuit, cable sizing, and earthing calculations.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards (IEC/IEEE).
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with engineering software such as ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of offshore platform electrical systems is an added advantage.
• Experience working on multinational or international EPC projects.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
