Job summary

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance activities and shift operation to maximise plant availability and productivity at minimum maintenance cost.
• Study stoppage reports and checklists; take corrective and preventive actions; schedule shutdowns and organize material and manpower.
• Oversee HT/LT switchgear maintenance, protection systems, relay coordination and MV drives; analyze abnormalities and implement corrective actions.
• Implement ISO, EMS, OHSAS and WCM systems; drive improvements in quality standards, productivity and OEE/MTBF/MTTR.
• Ensure timely safety and statutory compliance per Electrical Inspectorate guidelines and best practices.

Job Description:

1. Supervise & co-ordinate execution of electrical maintenance activities and shift operation to maximize plant availability to improve productivity at minimum maintenance cost. To reduce Breakdowns for improving plant availability. To improve the shift operation. To improve the HT, LT feeder drawings at panel side
2. Exposure to Supervise & co-ordinate execution of electrical maintenance shift operation: -Study stoppage report -Study checklist -Take corrective & preventive action. -Take plant round -Supervise maintenance jobs -Coordinate for conditional monitoring. -Develop SAP data. -Scheduling of shutdown jobs. -Workout material/ manpower requirement. -Organize material / manpower required. -Prepare indents. -Follow-up for material requirement -Accountability- Operation & Maintenance Jobs
3. Exposure in HT/LT switchgear maintenance and protection, Electrical protection system & relay coordination and Operation & maintenance of HT MV drives - Take corrective actions. - Study abnormalities / deviations - Analyse problematic areas - Identify & get rectified. -Abnormalities. -Analyse problems, trippings, and breakdowns. - Identify areas requiring improvement - Review drawings / specifications - Carryout the required checking, testing as per guidelines. - Take corrective measures for deviations. - Monitor working of line clearance system. - Identify & rectify unsafe points & unsafe practice in the area. - On the job training to staff & workmen on electrical safety & treatment.
4. System Implementation: Organize and implement ISO, EMS, OHSAS, and WCM systems in his area of operation through the involvement of people for the improvement of quality standards and productivity. - Improvement of WCM criteria score. - EMS targets. - Internal customer rating improvement. - ISO system improvement - Improvement of OEE/MTBF/MTTR -Elimination of muda. - Does why analysis. - Prepare/present weekly/monthly WCM presentation. - Develop one point lesson. - Update WCM activity boards. - Develop Model area. - Create awareness in team members. - Develop visual controls. - Monitor working of pollution control equipment's
5. Safety & statutory compliance: Carryout timely inspection of all jobs required as per Electrical Inspectorate/ statutory guidelines and ensure their timely compliance.
