Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking a Sr Executive Electrical for a plant in Dahej. The candidate should have BE Electrical with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in plant maintenance in a chemical/paint environment.

The role focuses on maintenance planning, safety compliance, and efficiency improvement, coordinating with contractors and subordinates to ensure safe and reliable electrical systems within the facility.

Qualifications

• BE Electrical with minimum 5 years in plant maintenance.
• Experience in paint chemicals industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and permit processes.
• Ability to lead contractors and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely maintenance of electrical equipment and systems in the Plant.
• Ensure compliance with safety permit requirements for all activities carried out by Engg.
• Analyze breakdowns and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor adherence to planned maintenance actions.
• Define critical spares and manage Eng Stores inventories.
• Improve uptime and control power consumption.
• Provide training to electricians on good engineering practices.
• Prepare maintenance procedures for critical equipment.
• Develop AMC and monitor its efficiency.
• Interact with government agencies for statutory approvals and service support.

ResponsibilitiesPlant and Equipment Maintenance

• Ensure timely maintenance of electrical equipment / systems in the Plant
• Ensure compliance to all Safety Permit requirement for all activities carried out by Engg.
• Analyze all breakdowns and take Corrective and Preventive actions
• Monitor compliance to planned actions
• Define Critical Spares and Consumables and develop and implement systems to enable inventories in Engg Stores

Improve Operating Efficiencies

• Monitor and improve Uptime of Equipment
• Control Cost of Eng Spares and Consumables.
• Monitor and control Power utilization for the Plant and work on optimizing power consumption
• Offer Training to Electricians on Good Eng Practices and monitor safe working.
• CAPA & Why-Why/5-Why analysis etc.
• Systems and Procedures
• Prepare Maintenance procedures for critical equipment in the Plant
• Develop AMC and monitor efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure preparation of Inspection procedures and schedules for critical Electrical installations

Project Activities

• Correct installation & commissioning of electrical equipments
• Job & manpower scheduling with contractors, supervision and getting quality job executed from contractor

• Erection planning & readiness of all related resources
• Compliance of job Safety, timely execution & quality of job

Nature and Scope

• The incumbent is responsible for carrying out Maintenance for all Electrical installations in the Plant.
• He shall coordinate with contractors to get the allotted jobs completed safely.
• He is responsible to ensure all Safety procedures while carrying out Engineering activities.
• He shall ensure all actions towards meeting statutory compliances from Engineering perspective are met incl. those requirements under Electricity Rules.
• Support training and development of his subordinates
• Develop guidelines for Good Engineering practices
• Shall monitor and take control actions to improve Power consumption for the facility.
• Develop and implement Inspection procedures for all Electrical installations incl. Transformer, DG, PCC, MSS, Earth Pits, Continuity strips etc.
• Need to interact with government agencies viz. CEIG, Electricity Board officials, DG inspector etc. to support statutory approvals and service support to the Plant
