Responsibilities

• Provide electrical system design based on project specifications and requirements, including detailed drawings, plans, and schematics for construction teams.
• Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with local, national, and international codes and standards.
• Prepare cost estimates for electrical components and labor, and monitor the electrical budget throughout the project.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project managers to integrate electrical systems into overall project plans and develop schedules, timelines, and milestones.
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other construction professionals to integrate electrical systems with building plans and ensure alignment with other construction elements.
• Specify and procure electrical materials and equipment, evaluating and selecting appropriate vendors and suppliers.
• Supervise and inspect installation of electrical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards, and troubleshoot issues during construction.
• Conduct tests on electrical systems to verify functionality and safety, oversee commissioning to ensure proper operation and integration.
• Maintain accurate documentation of electrical designs, installations, and modifications, including as‑built drawings.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring all installations meet regulations and standards.
• Provide ongoing support after construction, developing maintenance plans and schedules for electrical components.
• Stay current with advancements in electrical technology and integrate innovative solutions into construction projects when applicable.
