Job Summary
We are looking for an Electrical Draftsman / Electrical Designer with 2 3 years of experience in electrical drafting and design. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in preparing electrical drawings, layouts, and documentation, preferably for substation and switchyard projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify electrical engineering drawings based on project requirements and engineering inputs.
- Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts, cable routing drawings, equipment layouts, and wiring diagrams.
- Prepare substation/switchyard layouts, including equipment and structure arrangements.
- Prepare cable schedules, termination drawings, interconnection drawings, and related electrical drawings.
- Coordinate with Electrical Engineers and other engineering disciplines to incorporate design changes.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
- Make revisions to drawings based on engineering comments and client requirements.
- Maintain proper drawing records, revisions, and documentation.
- Support the engineering team in preparing as-built drawings and final documentation.
- Ensure drawings are prepared as per applicable standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of electrical drafting and design principles.
- Hands‑on experience with AutoCAD is essential.
- Knowledge of substation/switchyard electrical drawings will be preferred.
- Understanding of electrical equipment such as transformers, CTs, PTs/CVTs, circuit breakers, isolators, busbars, and earthing systems.
- Ability to read and understand SLDs, layouts, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Good attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with engineering teams.
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering / ITI Electrical.
- 2 3 years of relevant experience in electrical drafting/design.
- Candidates with experience in Substation, Switchyard, EPC, Power Transmission, or Electrical Engineering projects will be preferred.
