Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru, India is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to design electrical systems and schematics for semiconductor equipment. You will develop layouts, select components for LV switchgear, and draft specifications.

You will ensure compliance with SEMI S22, S2, NFPA, and coordinate with assembly, operations, and supply chain on BOM changes. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in semiconductor equipment or high-precision automation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design concepts, schematics, and OEM components selection.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, relays, power supplies and cable harness.
• Experience with BOM management, documentation, release processes, and reliability testing.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Zuken E3, EPLAN.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical system/subsystem according to the system specification and develop electrical schematics and layouts.


• ECO/ECR creation & BOM updates, dispositions of materials.


• Create and review technical drawings, specifications, and standards.


• Design of low voltage switchgear circuits, able to select components.


• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards - SEMI S22, S2& NFPA standards.


• Communicate & Coordinate with Assembly, operations & Supply chain on Parts qualifications/BOM changes.


• Coordinate with suppliers and clarification / issue solving while manufacturing the parts.


• Creative problem solver with excellent communication skills

Work Experience

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent field


• 5 year+ experience in semiconductor equipment industry or high precision automation equipment industry is preferred


• Thorough technical knowledge of electrical engineering design concepts and application components, Schematics, electrical system, OEM components selection.


• Knowledge of electrical systems and components, control systems, relays, power supplies, cable harness.


• Knowledge on BOM management, Documentation, release process, Reliability testing.


• Knowledge on Cable Design/BOM preparation, Schematic design, Engineering Change Management, E, CAD Tools(Autocad /Zuken E3/ EPLAN/ DraftSight), Safety and Compliance


• Experience in PLM tools like Enovia and Teamcenter


• Experience in Design of PLC Control Panels
