Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Vadodara, India, is seeking a Transformer Design Engineer specialized in oil-filled power transformers. You will join an international design and engineering team, shaping core components, windings, cleats and leads within factory guidelines.

You will collaborate with global colleagues, participate in design reviews, ensure compliance, and help deliver innovative energy transformation solutions while upholding Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity values.

Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech Electrical /Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-12 years experience in internal design of transformer including cleats and leads and/or core, Active part and windings for oil-filled Power Transformers manufacturing industry.
• Candidate will be working from office.
• Preferable from Transformer industry.
• Must have good knowledge on 3D modelling experience in Creo tool.
• Knowledge on CAD software, 3D Modelling software like Creo would be advantageous.
• Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
• Experience in core, active part, winding, cleats & leads would be preferred.
• Experience on Microsoft Office and tools.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.
• Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal design of transformers including cleats and leads and/or core, Active part and windings according to factory limitations, guidelines, and checklists.
• Coordinate design activities within a worldwide factories network.
• Participate in internal design concept reviews.
• Demonstrate team building and networking skills and coordinate with global teams.
• Speak with and work with technical teams across different parts of the world.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
