Job summary

Assystem in India is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to develop electrical system designs for airport facilities, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and backup systems.

You will create single line diagrams, load calculations, cable sizing, and coordinate HT/LT systems and substations, while reviewing drawings and supporting the project from design through commissioning.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering required.
• Total 5–7 years experience with minimum 3 years in infra EPC/engineering.
• Experience in electrical design and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical system designs including power distribution, lighting, earthing and backup systems for airport facilities.
• Develop single line diagrams (SLD), load calculations, cable sizing and equipment layouts.
• Design and coordinate HT/LT systems, substations, transformers, DG sets and UPS systems.
• Ensure compliance with ICAO, DGCA, NBC, IS codes and local electrical standards.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, MEP and airport planning teams.
• Prepare BOQs, technical specifications and tender documents.
• Review vendor drawings, shop drawings and technical submittals.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing and commissioning.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety and adherence to design.
• Implement energy-efficient and sustainable solutions (LED lighting, smart controls, renewable integration).
