Job summary

Global Engineering Consulting Services is seeking an Electrical CAD Designer in Hyderabad to draft electrical schematics using AutoCAD and ePLAN for Oil & Gas and Power sector projects. You will convert specifications into 2D/3D drawings, create single-line and three-line diagrams, and collaborate with the engineering team to ensure accuracy and compliance with IEC and Indian codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3+ years AutoCAD experience required.
• Knowledge of IEC and Indian codes is required.
• Experience with single-line and three-line diagrams is expected.
• Strong technical drawing and GD&T knowledge.

JROLE: Electrical CAD Designer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and draft electrical schematics using AutoCAD and ePLAN
• Create single-line and three-line diagrams, cable schedules, and panel layouts
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings for Oil & Gas and Power sector projects
• Convert design specifications into ePLAN 3D models and AutoCAD 2D/3D representations
• Collaborate with engineering team to ensure design accuracy and compliance
• Review and modify drawings based on client feedback

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (minimum 3+ years)
• ePLAN 3D Design or ePLAN Electric certification (preferred but trainable)
• Understanding of electrical standards (IEC, Indian codes)
• Knowledge of single-line and three-line diagrams
• Strong technical drawing and GD&T knowledge

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in Oil & Gas / Power / Infrastructure sectors
• Familiarity with electrical panel design and cable management
• Knowledge of PLC control systems
• Team player with attention to detail

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Hands on experience /Good knowledge on AUTOCAD Electrical
• Good written and verbal communication skills
