Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for building services with 7–10 years in North American and Canadian projects. You will lead electrical design, coordinate interfaces across disciplines, and ensure timely delivery of high‑quality engineering solutions.

You must be proficient with Revit, BIM 360, AutoCAD and electrical design tools (AGi32, SKM, ETAP, Amtech, Dialux), and capable of presenting to clients in English and French.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (7-10 years) with a strong background in building services design, particularly for North American and Canadian projects. The role requires expertise in electrical system design, multidisciplinary coordination, and delivery of high-quality engineering solutions within project timelines.

Your role

• Relevant and appropriate experience of 7 to 10 years as Engineer within building services.
• Experience of working in multi-discipline environment and good understanding of co-ordination and interfaces with other disciplines.
• Competent by virtue of training and experience in the design of electrical systems design to North American & Canadian standards.
• The successful applicant will be a competent user of IT tools in particular Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Able to deliver work and integrate with larger project teams.
• Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with clients is essential.

About you

• Experience of working in Multi-D environment and good understanding of co-ordination and interfaces with other disciplines.
• Ability to work in multi-cultural multilingual environment.
• Open to new ideas and innovative approaches.
• Be a competent user of IT tools in particular Word, Excel, Outlook and Electrical design tools e.g. AGi32, SKM Power system, ETAP, Amtech, Dialux etc.
• Proficiency in Revit, BIM 360, AutoCAD is a must.
• Wider knowledge of other disciplines is desirable.
• Responsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost.
• Able to work as reliable and pro-active member of the team.
• Good communication, presentation and listening skills.
• Writing professional reports.
• Identifies and communicates concerns to immediate supervisor.
• Possess capability to take individual responsibilities.
• Willingness to share information and knowledge with team members.
• Shows flexibility in work tasks, locations and flexibility to work with teams in a different time zone.
• Authors technical reports of acceptable technical and presentational quality. Able to present their work on the project in presentations and meetings. Relevant and appropriate experience as a designer within building services.
• You will be a competent designer to CSA and NFPA standards.
• You will have experience in Revit and delivered projects using BIM skills.
• Demonstrates the necessary level of competence and responsibility according to the grade.
• You will manage productivity and quality of your deliverables.
• Maintains harmony and a productive atmosphere by being open about the work activities and project status.
• Good command of the English and French Language and an effective communicator both written and verbal.
