Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking an EHS Supervisor to guide and support management in implementing EHS strategies across multiple sites in the region. You will ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and provide actionable safety plans for employees and contractors.

The role requires a DEGREE in Engineering/Science, a recognized EHS qualification, and NEBOSH IGC with 3–6 years in EHS. Hybrid work model and interaction with management are part of the job.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH IGC mandatory.
  • 3–6 years of experience in EHS.
  • Strong on-the-job coaching experience.
  • Fluent English spoken and written.
  • Experience in construction, power plants, manufacturing, or project management in Sustainable Development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide competent EHS advice and action plans to management.
  • Guide promotion and implementation of EHS strategies across all sites in the region.
  • Support management on EHS compliance and legislation to achieve company goals.
  • Ensure monitoring and transparent reporting of EHS issues.
  • Assist in risk assessments and JSA reviews with mitigations.
  • Ensure accidents/diseases/near-misses are reported, investigated and actions tracked.
  • Maintain EHS records including policy docs, risk assessments, SDS, training records.
  • Provide training to employees including temporary staff and contractors under the competency program.
  • Address employee complaints related to Health, Safety or Welfare.

The EHS Supervisor is overall responsible for providing guidance and support to management on the promotion and implementation of the EHS strategies, procedures, guidelines, and goals for continuous improvements, at all sites assigned in the region

How Youll Make an Impact
  • Provide management and employees with competent EHS advice and action plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to management on the promotion and implementation of the EHS strategies, procedures, guidelines, and goals for continuous improvements, at all sites assigned in the region.
  • Provide enabling support to management on the implementation of EHS strategies, procedures, guidelines, and legislation to achieve the goals and objectives of the company.
  • Ensure that appropriate measuring and monitoring of EHS issues is undertaken and reported accurately and transparently.
  • Provide advice and support to Division/BU management on EHS compliance.
  • Provide assistance in the completion of risk assessments & JSA where required and ensure that they are regularly reviewed, and mitigation measures are undertaken.
  • Ensure that all accidents, diseases, dangerous occurrences are reported to the relevant statutory bodies as applicable within the defined legal framework and timelines.
  • Ensure all accidents and near misses are recorded, reported, and investigated in accordance with the company accident and reporting procedures, and all corrective/preventive actions are identified, implemented, and reviewed.
  • Ensure relevant EHS records (e.g. policy documentation, risk assessments, safety data sheets, registers, fire drills and training records etc.) are maintained and updated as and when necessary.
  • Ensure provision is made for all employees, including temporary staff and contractors, to receive effective and sufficient training and instruction by way of the company’s EHS competency development program.
  • Act on employee complaints relating to Health, Safety or Welfare, communicate through the relevant company channels and bring to the attention of the concerned authorities as required.
  • Ensure updated information of legal requirements, hazards in the workplace company EHS policy and procedures.
  • Encourage the participation and involvement of all employees in EHS issues and ensure that all complaints and/EHS breaches are dealt with promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure adequate supplies of effective PPE, as specified by risk assessments, are readily available for those employees visiting clients’ premises.
What You Bring
  • Degree or recognized Diploma in Engineering or Science.
  • Degree or recognized Diploma in Occupational Health and Hygiene from ADIS (RLI/CLI) / State.
  • GOVT recognized institute or Premium Institute of the Nation like, IIT, NITIE & NICMAR
  • Degree or recognized Diploma in Industrial Safety /Environmental management recognized by State TechnicalBoard.
  • Certified Lead Auditor.
  • NEBOSH IGC Experience (Mandatory):
  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in EHS function.
  • Strong experience in ‘on the job’ coaching
  • Fluent English both spoken and written.
  • Significant experience in construction, Power plant, manufacturing, engineering, or project management Experiencein Sustainable Development
