About Position

Experience:

Job Descriptions

• Advise and assist the factory management in fulfilling obligations, statutory or otherwise, concerning prevention of personal injuries and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Advise on safety aspects in all job studies, and carry out detailed job safety studies of selected jobs.
• Check and evaluate the effectiveness of the action taken or proposed to be taken to prevent accidents.
• Carry out plant safety inspections to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices followed by employees and render advice on measures to reduce unsafe conditions and prevent unsafe practices.
• Design and conduct safety training independently or in collaboration with others for employees at all levels.
• Use various techniques for identifying hazards and performing risk analysis.
• Be proactive and able to design, implement, sustain and improve management systems such as OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.
• Maintain the environmental management system in the plant.
• Monitoring and measurement of workplace environment, ETP & STP, and Consent and NoC where applicable.
• Liaise with external agencies such as Factory Directorate, Explosives Department, Pollution Control Board, National Safety Council, DGFASLI, etc.
• Implement, monitor and review safety systems according to the Factories Act 1948.
• Incident/accident communication (escalation), investigation, analysis, and recommendation of corrective and preventive actions to management.
• Maintain relevant HSE logs and documentation (e.g., LTI, FAC, TRC).
