To lead and manage all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) functions at the construction site, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, client requirements, and company safety policies. The role focuses on preventing accidents, minimizing environmental impact, and promoting a strong safety culture across all construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor the Project EHS Management Plan.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements under relevant laws (Factory Act, BOCW Act, Environmental norms, etc.).
Approve Method Statements and ensure safety provisions are incorporated.
Conduct daily site safety inspections and audits.
Monitor high-risk activities like heavy lifting, launching gantry operation, traffic diversion works, and night works.
Ensure zero fatality and minimum Lost Time Injury (LTI) targets.
Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective & preventive actions.
Maintain accident statistics and prepare monthly safety reports.
