EHS Manager
Job Overview
Ensuring and monitoring safety in the workplace including the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with established company, environmental and government regulations.
Responsibilities
- Guide and promote safety performance by developing safety systems, policies, procedures and programs at local and regional level to prevent and control workplace injuries
- Responsible for implementing cost effective energy reduction initiatives, overall environment footprint reduction and achieving company’s sustainability objectives
- Ensure total awareness of EHS system among all employees
- Compile and publish EHS performance parameters globally
- Coordinate with other functions on overall EHS performance matrix
- Safety & Ergo audits and implementation of desired standards
- Coordinate for ISO 14000 and ISO 45000 audits – Internal & External
- Review and maintain EHS requirement
- Train & upgrade knowledge level of existing and new employees
- Organize reviews and close the gaps
- Establishes and maintains the contents of the process-related management system documents
- Ensures that local process-related management system documents are in line with EMEA level
- Makes the final release of relevant management system documents
- Communicates new or changed management system documentation
- Is responsible for the process effectiveness and process efficiency
- Defines priorities for efforts to simplify and streamline the Management System
Education and Knowledge
- BE / B.Sc. / M.Sc./B Tech in Environment, Electrical, Fire or Civil Engineering plus
- Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety ADIS / NEBOSH is must.
Critical Experience
- At least 10 -12 years of experience with multinational organizations
- Lead Auditor for ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
- Overall strong EHS competency, solid technical understanding and experience in machine guarding, ergonomics, wastewater, water and waste management.
- Strong commitment to improving safety performance, EHS compliances, environmental improvements and EHS efficiency
