Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a safety-minded professional with a background in electrical or mechanical engineering and a post/advanced diploma in industrial safety. The role requires steel industry exposure, MAH compliance experience, and familiarity with ISO 14001/45001. You will liaise with regulatory bodies and train shop floor staff.

The candidate should be proficient in MS Office and capable of preparing safety reports and presentations for management reviews.

Qualifications

• In addition to engineering diplomas, candidates must have safety qualifications recognized by state or central bodies.
• Post/Advance diploma in Industrial Safety required or preferred for this role.
• Experience in steel industry and understanding of MAH and compliance is important.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards is expected.
• Knowledge of relevant safety acts and liaison with regulatory boards is needed.

Responsibilities

• Work in a steel industry environment with MAH compliance knowledge.
• Ensure adherence to MAH unit regulations and environmental standards.
• Maintain knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Coordinate with State/ Central Pollution Control boards as needed.
• Provide training on safety topics to shop floor personnel.
• Maintain MS Office reports and presentations for safety reviews.

Job Description

In addition to any diploma in engineering, candidate should have qualified- Post Diploma in Industrial Safety or Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by State Technical Board or DGFASLI/ Central Labour Institute.

• He should have at least 2 years of experience of working in steel industry and conversant with legal compliances of MAH (Major Accident Hazard) units.
• Should be conversant with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• knowledge of Latest acts, laws and rules of EHS.
• Should have general knowledge of monthly/ half yearly/ yearly compliances associated with MAH units.
• He should have knowledge of environment function requirement and liasioning experience with State and Central Pollution control board.
• Knowledge of EHS aspect Factory act 1948 and Gujarat Factory Rule- 1963 with experience of liasioning with Factory Inspectorate and DISH.
• Should have good soft skills like interpersonal relationships building, public speaking, presentation skill.
• Experience of giving training to shop floor personnel.
• Should have advanced knowledge of MS office - Specially MS Excel, Word, and Power point.
