You will lead risk assessments, EHS training, audits, and emergency response planning while ensuring GMP/GLP adherence across fermentation and purification processes. A strong safety culture and meticulous process control are essential.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Chemical or Biotechnology Engineering or an advanced diploma in Industrial Safety.
• Experience in regulatory compliance and environmental management.
• Knowledge of GMP/GLP protocols.
• Exposure to biohazards, viral vectors, recombinant proteins, and toxic chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage biohazards.
• Oversee environmental processes including waste management.
• Adhere to Pollution Board norms and the Factories Act.
• Manage GMP/GLP compliance and safety trainings.
• Conduct EHS audits, CAPA, and safety drills.
• Monitor EHS emergency response systems.
• Coordinate safety programs for employees and contractors.
• Lead risk assessments and HAZOP reviews.
• Oversee ETP/STP operations and bio-waste handling.

Job description

Hiring EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) Deputy Manger/Manager to our Advanced Biologics unit.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Education: B. Tech in Chemical or Biotechnology Engineering, or a recognized advanced diploma in Industrial Safety.
• Person adhere on regulatory compliance, manages biohazards, and oversees environmental processes such as waste management.
• Adherence to State Pollution Control Board norms, the Factories Act, and hazardous waste rules.
• Person shall have exposure on Biological & Chemical Safety: Managing exposure to biohazards, viral vectors, recombinant proteins, and toxic chemicals used in fermentation and purification processes.
• Have experience on Risk assessment and HAZOP.
• Monitoring emissions and effluents, managing the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) or Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and Bio waste management.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
• Can Handle the EHS systems (Procedures, Trainings, Response systems, Develop emergency response plans, coordinate safety drills and Fire mitigation systems).
• Can conduct routine plant safety audits timely and CAPA.
• Can conduct Drives safety awareness programs and training for both employees and on-site contractors.
• Shall have knowledge on GMP, GLP protocols.
• Ability to conduct EHS trainings on site safety requirements.
• Regular monitoring of EHS Emergency response systems.
