Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a SHE Manager to implement and monitor Safety, Health & Environment standards at Chennai projects, ensuring compliance with statutory and client requirements.

You will lead and coordinate the project SHE team, identify hazards, assess risks, conduct inspections, and ensure corrective actions. Implement emergency plans, coordinate training, and maintain SHE records and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Safety is required; Govt. recognized

Responsibilities

• Implement the Project SHE Plan, procedures, and safety standards.
• Lead and coordinate the project SHE team.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective controls.
• Conduct SHE inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
• Monitor high-risk activities and ensure adherence to safe work methods and permit systems.
• Ensure timely incident reporting, investigation, and corrective actions.
• Implement emergency preparedness plans and periodic drills.
• Coordinate SHE training, induction, toolbox talks, and competency programs.
• Monitor SHE performance, KPIs, and statutory compliance.
• Promote proactive SHE culture and workforce participation.
• Coordinate with management, clients, contractors and authorities on SHE matters.
• Maintain required SHE records, reports, permits, and documentation.
