Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Design Engineer to drive energy-efficient, code-compliant HVAC system design for large-scale projects. You will lead load calculations, ducting, equipment selections, and ensure layouts, schematics and control strategies meet project requirements.

You will coordinate with stakeholders, perform value engineering, and provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning, while guiding the design team for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (BE) required.
• 15–23 years of HVAC design and project leadership experience.
• Experience with energy-efficient, code-compliant HVAC design.
• Experience with ASHRAE/ISHRAE/NBC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC system design to ensure energy efficiency, sustainability and code compliance with project requirements.
• Lead design of HVAC systems including load calculations, ducting and equipment selections.
• Ensure design compliance with ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC and local/international codes.
• Review and validate layouts, schematics and control strategies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for design integration.
• Conduct value engineering to optimize system performance and lifecycle costs.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing and commissioning.
• Provide technical support for BOQ reconciliations.
• Guide and develop the team for department growth.
