Responsibilities

• Understand video’s theme, purpose, and storyline.
• Meet client requirements and maximize editing efficiency.
• Prepare rough and final cuts with logical sequencing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for desired video output.
• Trim footage, assemble sequences, add music/graphics, and create rough/final cuts.
• Edit to ensure seamless audience experience, incorporating preselected music/sounds.
• Manage media and formats for final output, ensuring quality meets requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from production to post-production to achieve desired look.

Overview

We are looking for a Video Editor cum Animator for a junior position with a creative mindset to take briefs, grasp production team’s specifications and assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision. The role is on-site in Mumbai, Monday to Saturday, and requires rotating shifts.

Urgently required.

Salary: based on experience. You will be working for the World’s Oldest Yoga Institute in Mumbai.

Responsibilities

• Establish a clear understanding of the video’s theme, purpose, and storyline and bring sight and sound together.
• Meet client requirements, research and implement new editing technologies and best industry practices to maximize efficiency.
• Deliver deliverables with speed, data organization and time management.
• Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and continuity.
• Trim footage, assemble sequences, add music and graphics, create rough and final cuts, ensuring logical sequencing and smooth playback.
• Edit in a way that is seamless to the audience; incorporate preselected music themes and sound clips as required.
• Manage media, update formats for final output, and ensure video and sound quality meet client requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from production to post-production to establish desired look and feel for videos.
• Create proposed storyboard drafts to present clients and obtain approvals before alterations.

Requirements

• Mid-level with 3–5 years of experience as Video Editor & Animator with a creative, mindful and positive approach.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Video Editing, Film & TV Production, Mass Media Communication, Journalism, or related field.
• Hands-on software experience in Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects and similar tools.
