Eclat Health is seeking an experienced ED Facility Medical Coder to review emergency department records and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and facility-level codes in line with guidelines.

The role requires familiarity with ACEP guidelines, I&I vaccine codes, NCCI edits, and fracture care coding. Candidates should have CPC or CCS certification and strong ED coding experience in a hospital setting, preferably in India.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Certification such as CPC or CCS.
• Experience in Emergency Department/Facility coding preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS Level II, I & I Vaccine Codes, ACEP guidelines.
• ICD-10-CM guidelines experience is mandatory.

Responsabilidades

• Review ED documentation and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and facility codes.
• Ensure coding accuracy to support compliant billing and reimbursement.
• Maintain familiarity with ACEP guidelines and NCCI edits.
• Stay updated on ICD-10-CM guidelines and fracture care coding.
• Apply modifiers used for emergency procedures and levels.

Job Summary: The ED Facility Medical Coder is responsible for reviewing emergency department documentation and assigning accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and facility-level coding based on medical records. The coder ensures compliance with coding guidelines, payer requirements, and regulatory standards while supporting accurate billing and reimbursement.

• Coder must be familiar with ED facility level coding with the help of ACEP guidelines
• Coders must mandatorily has experience in coding I&I and vaccine codes
• Must familiarize with procedures performed in emergency room
• Must have knowledge of critical care and trauma team activation.
• Must have knowledge of NCCI edits and LCD, NCD policies
• Must have in-depth experience of Fracture care coding guidelines and combination codes and external cause codes.
• ICD 10 CM guidelines experience is mandatory
• Must have knowledge of modifiers used in emergency for procedure and levels.

Required Qualifications

• Any bachelor's degree preferred.
• Certification such as:
  • CPC (Certified Professional Coder)
  • CCS (Certified Coding Specialist)
• Experience in Emergency Department/Facility coding preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
