Job summary

Hero MotoCorp in Jaipur seeks an ECM Design Engineer to drive fuel injection system development and engine management. You will define software requirements, coordinate with suppliers, test, and calibrate functions for two-wheeler engines, contributing to robust FI architectures.

The candidate will work on ECU/sensors, CAN networks, and DFMEA within Hero's R&D environment, leveraging a strong electronics/automotive background.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the automotive domain.
• BTech/MTech in Electronics, Instrumentation, Automotive or equivalent. Advanced qualifications are an advantage.
• Strong understanding of FI system DFMEA and engine electrical components.

ECM Design Engineer

A purpose driven role for you

• We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostics Engineer with 3+ years of experience in the automotive domain.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing Fuel injection systems on the vehicle. Candidate will be responsible to developing vehicle functions SW requirement, developing SW form supplier, testing, and calibrating the required functions. Candidate will also take care of the various two-wheeler electrical/electronic parts like ECU, QSS, etc. that participate in proper functioning of the engine electrical system.

A Day in the life

• Design and Defining the requirement as per application (SOR creation)
• FI system DFMEA/ ECU/sensors design review
• Electrical parts/sensor diagnosis and its calibration
• Designing FI system architecture

Academic Qualification & Experience

BTech/MTech in Electronics, Instrumentation, Automotive or equivalent. Advanced Qualifications are an advantage.

Technical Skills/Knowledge

• Knowledge on Automotive Communication Networks CAN, CANFD, LIN
• Knowledge in calibration tools like INCA, ATI etc.
• Strong understanding of UDS (ISO 14229), OBD-II (ISO 15031/SAE J1979),
• Proficient in working with ODX/MDX/CDD files, and knowledge of ASAM MCD-2 standards.
• Expert in DFMEA and also good understanding of electronic hardware design.
• Strong sense of achievement and ownership

Behavioural Skills

• Experience in CFT working under time constraint and under pressure
• Good communication and intercultural skills
