Job summary

SABAR CORPORATION is seeking a skilled Siemens PLC programmer to develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs across multiple S7 platforms. The role involves configuring HMI/SCADA systems, testing control panels, and providing on-site commissioning support at customer sites.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with TIA Portal and STEP 7, a solid understanding of electrical drawings, and the ability to integrate PLCs with VFDs and sensors.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with TIA Portal and STEP 7 software.
• Solid knowledge of industrial automation and control systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot Siemens PLC programs.
• Work on Siemens PLC platforms such as S7-1200, S7-1500, S7-300, and S7-400.
• Have working knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal and STEP 7 software.
• Configure and troubleshoot HMI/SCADA systems.
• Perform electrical control panel testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
• Integrate PLCs with VFDs, sensors, actuators, and other automation devices.
• Conduct machine installation, testing, commissioning, and on-site support.
• Identify technical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with design, production, and service teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of Siemens PLC programming.
• Hands-on experience with TIA Portal and/or STEP 7.
• Knowledge of industrial automation and control systems.
• Understanding of electrical circuits, control panels, and wiring diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of HMI/SCADA, VFDs, and industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET.
• Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for installation and commissioning, if required.
