General Description

Programme Lead comes with a strong understanding of early childhood education, classroom arrangements, and curriculum implementation monitoring. This role involves mentoring and providing on-the-job development training for facilitators to enhance their effectiveness in the classroom while ensuring the successful implementation of academic programs across centers. The Programme Lead support facilitators through training, observation, and hands‑on guidance, fostering a high‑quality learning environment. Additionally, the role includes overseeing curriculum budgeting to ensure resources are cost‑effective, well‑maintained, and within budget specifications at a unit/centre/cluster level.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work closely with centre teams (Centre Director, Centre Admin) and the Regional Programme Manager to ensure smooth and effective curriculum operations.
  • Attend departmental, staff, and administrative meetings to address health and safety, facilities, operations, and human resource issues.
  • Ensure all prep schools in the cluster implement the curriculum according to established guidelines parameters and KLAY philosophy.
  • Provide academic support by monitoring curriculum implementation, observing children, and overseeing assessment practices to ensure alignment with learning goals.
  • Deliver presentations for Parent Orientations, Open Houses, Coffee with Curriculum and Parent‑Facilitator Conferences (PTC) to foster community involvement.
  • Conduct and/or develop training programs for facilitators, ensuring they are equipped with the latest instructional strategies and tools.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor facilitators to maximize effective curriculum usage.
  • Identify learning needs of facilitators and recommend professional development opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing mentoring and coaching by spending time in classrooms, offering constructive feedback, and introducing innovative teaching methods.
  • Conduct in‑centre training sessions.
  • Ensure that the learning environment, resources, and training programs strictly align with organizational policies and standards.
  • Implement data‑driven decision making processes to improve educational outcomes.
  • Implement best practices in service delivery to enhance the overall parent and child experience.
  • Actively contribute to the recruitment process by participating in candidate interviews, demo evaluations, and showcasing the skill set required for effective assessment of teaching potential.
  • Conduct performance reviews and appraisal conversations for preschool classroom facilitators.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge in early childhood education by regularly attending trainings, workshops, and reviewing relevant journals.
  • Assist with the overall evaluation of early childhood education programs, developing strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Guide facilitators in creating effective assessments, Progress Report, diary entries, portfolios, and other evaluation tools.
  • Ensure that learning spaces are attractive and welcoming, with displays of children’s artwork and other visual elements that promote self‑esteem and celebrate child achievements.
  • Adherence to all curriculum and academic operations, including the use of prescribed tools, documentation, and reporting systems).
  • Drive 100% adherence to the academic calendar by ensuring timely and complete execution of all planned academic activities.
  • Promote and maintain collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders through open communication, shared decision‑making, and aligned efforts toward common goals.

Additional Skills
  • Ability to train and evaluate teaching staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written in standard English.
  • Ability to interact with families in a nurturing, compassionate, and sincere manner.
  • Intermediate to advanced level experience with recent versions of Microsoft Suite, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Edge/Chrome; ability to use current webinar technology and audio conferencing.
  • Creative acumen with good analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team with minimal supervision.
  • Ready to travel within the assigned cluster on a daily basis and across other clusters on need basis.
