Role Overview
- Develops and executes integrated production, capacity, and supply plans across the short, medium, and longterm horizons to ensure stable and efficient factory operations.
- Leads supply risk identification and mitigation by analysing inventory signals, resolving constraints, and developing contingency plans with key stakeholders.
- Balances demand, capacity, materials, and asset constraints to generate feasible MPS plans that meet service, cost, and inventory objectives.
- Manages longterm capacity planning through RCCP analysis, scenario modelling, and bottleneck resolution to support future demand requirements.
- Converts weekly MPS into daily production schedules, addressing material risks, sequencing constraints, and operational exceptions for execution.
- Coordinates extensively with DRP, MRP, factory operations, procurement, commercial, and finance teams to ensure crossfunctional alignment on planning decisions.
- Optimises the supply network through modelling, scenario analysis, and evaluation of costtoserve vs service outcomes.
- Ensures planning governance by reviewing KPIs, validating constraints, and maintaining alignment across all planning horizons and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Master Production Scheduling (MPS)
- Prepare draft MPS considering demand & distribution change requests, exceptions, lines balancing and 3P capacity
- Finalise and publish the MPS by validating constraints, resolving escalations, and aligning with cross functional teams.
- Analyse insights from draft MPS and adjust the plan accordingly with inputs from crossfunctional meetings (materials, factory, PIPO)
- Conduct weekly ITP plant reviews to refresh the MPS, validate shortterm risks, and confirm nearterm adjustments.
LongTerm Capacity Planning (RCCP)
- Prepare and analyse RCCP against longterm planning horizons and identify constraints, and model alternative scenarios (prebuild, 3P, alternates) and mitigations
- Resolve longterm bottlenecks through Integrated Reconciliation with supply, demand, finance, and commercial teams, and circulate final RCCP outputs.
Supply Network Optimisation
- Develop and run optimisation scenarios (cost/service tradeoffs) and model network improvements for decisionmaking.
Production Scheduling & Exception Handling
- Prepare and publish daily production schedules, adjusting for material constraints, sequencing requirements, and operational priorities.
- Manage ERP execution and sequencing horizon exceptions by analysing feasibility, modelling supply options, performing transactional updates, and documenting resolutions.
- Run daily direction setting huddles, review compliance, log exceptions, and track performance to plan.
Supply Risk Identification & Mitigation
- Monitor inventory projections and manage stock risks exceeding inventory target level
- Conduct rootcause analysis and develop contingency plans to maintain inventory targets. Communicate risks and mitigation actions to crossfunctional stakeholders, ensuring alignment on decisions and timelines.
