Job summary

TEI seeks an experienced Business E&IC professional to drive growth for Data Center Cooling Solutions. You will design electrical/instrumentation/control systems and develop datasheets, specifications and BOMs, while supporting proposals and strategic planning for the USA market.

You’ll collaborate with Chennai Engineering, Sales, and Global Teams to meet customer requirements and position TEI’s cooling solutions effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 5–12 years of experience in electrical, instrumentation and control system design in Data Center, HVAC, Cooling Systems, or related engineering industries.
• Experience in large capital project environments is an advantage.
• Prior exposure to technical proposal writing, bid preparation, and customer engagements.
• Proven track record of success in sales and global customer relationship management.
• Experience in modular solutions or fabrication projects is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical, instrumentation and control systems for modular chiller plant systems and coolant distribution units for Data Center Cooling Solutions.
• Prepare design & engineering documents and SOPs for electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
• Support in inspection and testing plan, and quality plan documents for electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
• Build and maintain relationships with Customers, Consultants, EPCs, OEMs, and strategic partners.
• Work with sales and engineering teams to prepare technical proposals, offers and presentations.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support proposal development and execution.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and discussions to communicate TEI’s capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal procedures.
• Assist in developing marketing materials, case studies, and internal documentation.
• Support continuous improvement by sharing feedback and market insights.

Job description

The Business E&IC person will play a key role in driving growth for TEI’s Data Center Cooling Solutions. This role focuses on designing electrical, instrumentation and control system, developing technical datasheet, specifications, BOMs, and drawings, supporting proposal development, and contributing to strategic planning for USA market as guided by the Management. The incumbent will work closely with the Engineering, Sales, and Global Teams - especially the Chennai Engineering Team - to understand customer requirements and position TEI’s cooling solutions effectively.

A strong understanding of cooling systems (HVAC, chiller plant, liquid cooling, cooling distribution units, heat exchangers, etc.) used in Data Center applications, as well as familiarity with industry standards such as NFPA, IEEE, NEMA, and Tier Certifications, is desirable.

Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally are essential.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical, instrumentation and control system for modular chiller plant systems and coolant distribution units for Data Center Cooling Solutions.
• Preparation of design & engineering documents and standard operating procedures for electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
• Support in the preparation of inspection and testing plan, and quality plan documents for electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Customers, Consultants, EPCs, OEMs, and strategic partners.
• Work closely with the sales and engineering teams to prepare technical proposals, commercial offers, and presentations.
• Coordinate with internal teams (mechanical, civil, piping) to support proposal development and execution.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and discussions to communicate TEI’s technical capabilities and solution offerings.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal procedures during bid and proposal phases.
• Assist in developing marketing materials, case studies, and internal documentation to enhance TEI’s positioning.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by sharing customer feedback, market insights, and suggestions for product and process enhancements.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 5-12 years of experience in electrical, instrumentation and control system design in Data Center, HVAC, Cooling Systems, or related engineering industries.
