Tamatar Talent is seeking a hands-on marketplace operator to build and own the end-to-end D2C journey for a 20-year spice export house launching its first consumer brand.
You will establish brand accounts on Amazon, Flipkart, and quick-commerce platforms, optimize listings, and manage content and performance dashboards onsite in Ahmedabad.
1 Line JD - Build and own end-to-end marketplace and online commerce operations (Amazon, Flipkart, quick-commerce) from the ground up for a 20-year spice export house's first D2C brand
You'd be joining a 20-year-old international spice trading and export business - one that has built its reputation on quality, integrity, and direct relationships with farmers. The Group is now launching its first-ever consumer-facing brand: a chemical-free, hygienically manufactured, fully traceable staples brand (starting with spices, expanding into superfoods and oils) built for the modern Indian kitchen. This is the company's first venture into direct-to-consumer (D2C) retail, and you'd be one of the founding hires building it from zero.
You'd be based onsite, reporting to the Brand Manager/Branch Lead.
Your job is to build the entire digital shelf-to-doorstep journey for a brand-new product line - from the moment a customer discovers the Brand on Amazon, Flipkart, or a quick-commerce app, to the moment the product reaches their kitchen. You're not just listing products; you're constructing the operational backbone that lets a 20-year-old legacy business show up, for the first time, as a modern D2C player.
In the first 6-12 months, success doesn't look like a revenue number - it looks like presence, foundation, and readiness. Concretely: registered and fully built-out accounts on Amazon, Flipkart, and key quick-commerce platforms; clean, optimized listings with strong content and banners; a working sense of how each platform's economics and approval processes work; and early traction (sponsored listings live, reviews coming in, repeat orders starting). Revenue targets will follow once this foundation is in place - your first job is to build the runway.
This is a builder's role, not a maintainer's role. You're joining at the 0-to-1 stage of a brand that doesn't fully exist yet - there is no playbook to follow, no team to lean on for answers, and no historical data to reference. You should expect to operate as roughly 80% doer, 20% thinker: someone who finds problems and solves them on the same day, rather than someone who waits for direction.
The organisation is explicit that this is a founding role on a team that will grow. As the Brand scales, there's a real path to leading a small marketplace/e-commerce team rather than running it solo - but that growth will be earned through performance, not promised upfront.
