ACL Digital is seeking an experienced engineer to perform motor dynamo test stand operations, electrical and environmental testing, and data analysis. You will configure test setups, monitor instrumentation, and ensure safety and quality in the lab.

The role requires 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in motor dyno testing or laboratory test stand operations and a Diploma in Electrical/related fields. The incumbent will participate in calibration, documentation, and continuous improvement

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5 to 8 years hands-on experience in electric motor dyno testing, electrical product validation, or laboratory test stand operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Test Execution & Stand Operations
  • Setup & Operation: Configure and operate motor dynamometer test stands and associated test automation software/DAQ systems.
  • Test Execution: Perform functional, performance, efficiency, thermal, durability, endurance, load, torque, and open/close loop testing on electric motors, inverters, and controllers.
  • Electrical Testing: Execute specialized electrical testing including insulation resistance, Hi-Pot, voltage drop, continuity, and LCR measurements.
  • Environmental Testing: Operate high-voltage power supplies, power analyzers, climatic chambers, and specialized high-voltage test equipment safely.
  • Monitoring & Calibration: Monitor torque, speed, voltage, current, power, temperature, vibration, and efficiency parameters; conduct dyno setup and sensor calibration.
• Hardware Preparation & Bench Build
  • Assembly & Harnessing: Build and maintain test setups, test benches, fixtures, crimping setups, wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and connectors.
  • PCBA Rework: Perform hands-on PCBA rework and component replacement (SMT and through-hole) using precision soldering and desoldering techniques.
• Data Analysis, Reporting & Root Cause Analysis
  • Data Processing: Collect, review, analyze, and summarize complex test data using DAQ systems, data loggers, and analytical tools.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare clear, accurate, and structured test reports for engineering reviews.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose DUT (Device Under Test) failures, instrumentation issues, wiring faults, and test stand hardware integration problems.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Support failure investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
• Lab Compliance & Safety
  • Safety Standards: Enforce strict adherence to ESD controls, electrical safety, high-voltage safety protocols, and laboratory procedures.
  • Lab Management: Maintain 5S standards, equipment usage logs, inventory records, and instrument calibration schedules to ensure continuous audit readiness.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in lab best-practice, standard work, and productivity enhancement initiatives.

• Education & Experience
