Job summary

Larsen & Toubro Limited in Chennai is seeking a Senior EHS Manager with 15–20 years of experience to lead Environment, Health and Safety programs across utilities, process, and construction segments. You will implement policies, conduct trainings, and drive safety performance.

The role requires a diploma/degree in engineering and advanced diploma in Industrial Safety, with NEBOSH IGC/IOSH as desirable. You will oversee audits, maintain safety equipment, and report on compliance to the IC Head.

Qualifications

• Experience in implementing EHS programs and compliance within utilities, process, or construction sectors.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001 standards.
• Ability to conduct safety training and coordinate audits.

Responsibilities

• Implementing and monitoring EHS policies, programs and procedures.
• Training staff on safety laws, regulations, and equipment use.
• Inspections and audits to identify unsafe practices and conditions.
• Maintaining firefighting equipment and PPE.
• Raising health and safety awareness across the organization.
• Ensuring compliance with EHS legal requirements and reporting to IC Head.
• Coordinating training of safety personnel (first aid, CPR, investigations).
