Job summary

Qualifications

• 25 years of relevant teaching theatre/drama experience.
• Strong acting, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience with children or school environments is an advantage.
• Ability to conduct engaging and interactive sessions.
• Solid understanding of theatre techniques and stage performance.
• Creative, energetic, patient, and comfortable performing before students.
• Ability to prepare students for stage performances and competitions.

Role & responsibilities

• Plan and conduct engaging theatre and drama sessions for students.
• Teach students basic and advanced concepts of acting, drama, improvisation, voice modulation, body language, and stage presence.
• Conduct theatre games, role plays, storytelling, improvisation, and creative activities.
• Help students overcome stage fear and build confidence.
• Encourage creativity, self-expression, teamwork, and effective communication.
• Train students for school plays, annual functions, competitions, assemblies, and other performances.
• Guide students in script reading, character development, dialogues, and performance techniques.
• Assist students with stage movements, expressions, voice projection, and presentation.
• Develop age-appropriate theatre activities based on students' abilities and interests.
• Create a positive and inclusive environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves.
• Coordinate with teachers and the school management for performances and cultural events.
• Maintain discipline and ensure the safety of students during rehearsals and performances.
