Job summary

TÜV SÜD is seeking a CAD Operator / Draftsman to create and modify civil/structural drawings using AutoCAD. You will develop layouts, sections, and elevations, ensure accuracy, and coordinate with engineers for revisions and timelines.

The role requires strong 2D CAD skills, knowledge of drafting standards, and the ability to work independently while meeting project demands. Experience in civil projects and infrastructure will be an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience or Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Relevant experience as a CAD Operator / Draftsman in civil, construction, infrastructure or engineering consultancy.
• Hands-on experience in preparing and modifying 2D CAD drawings.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, layouts, plans and technical specifications.
• Experience in preparing drawings based on engineering inputs and site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, modify, and update Civil/Structural CAD drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop detailed drawings, layouts, plans, sections, elevations and other technical drawings.
• Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, specifications and project compliance.
• Coordinate with Civil Engineers, Project Engineers and stakeholders for drawing needs and revisions.
• Incorporate design changes and maintain updated drawing records.
• Ensure drawings are produced within project timelines and quality standards.
• Maintain documentation and version control of drawings.
• Support the engineering team with drafting and drawing activities.
