Job summary

Aries Marine Engineering Services in India is seeking a skilled draftsman/engineer to work on ship and offshore structural drawings, including GA, structural plans, fabrication and detail drawings.

You will lead a drafting team, review drawings, coordinate with naval architects, engineers and classification societies, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to QA/QC standards. Experience with AutoCAD is required; Autodesk Inventor preferred, with knowledge of IACS/class rules desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in marine ship and offshore structural drawings (GA, structural plans, fabrication and detail drawings).
• Experience in conversion projects, offshore vessels, barges, pipe-lay/cable-lay vessels, structural modifications, and class submission drawings.
• Ability to lead a drafting team, allocate workloads, monitor progress, review drawings, and ensure timely project delivery.

Job description

Responsibility : -

• Should be having strong knowledge of ship and offshore structural drawings, including GA, structural plans, fabrication drawings, and detail drawings.


• Experience in conversion projects, offshore vessels, barges, pipe-lay/cable-lay vessels, structural modifications, and class submission drawings.

Candidate requirements : -

• B.E./B. Tech/Diploma / ITI/Any degree but having experience in Marine industry (Ship & offshore structures)


• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience in Autodesk Inventor/3D modelling is preferred.


• Familiarity with IACS/Class rules (DNV, ABS, LR, BV, RINA, etc.), ship/offshore structural practices, and applicable standards.


• Ability to lead a drafting team, allocate workloads, monitor progress, review drawings, and ensure timely project delivery.


• Good coordination skills with structural engineers, naval architects, project teams, clients, and classification societies.


• Strong understanding of drawing standards, constructability, fabrication requirements, and QA/QC of structural deliverables
