Job summary

Laing O'Rourke and the CWA are recruiting for a Document Controller to support Sizewell C, a flagship UK infrastructure project. This role ensures effective management, control and delivery of project information across a multidisciplinary environment and supports the Information Manager in EDMS (Asite).

You will register, file, distribute and track documents, produce progress reports and train teams on document control processes.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in document control and information management.
  • Strong understanding of document control systems within multidisciplinary project environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accurate record keeping.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to provide training and guidance to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the ability to quickly learn new software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform document registration, filing, archiving, distribution and control activities within the project EDMS (Asite).
  • Track reviews, approvals, client comments, requests for information, non-conformances and other project deviations through to closure.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers and the client to manage documentation from issue through to acceptance.
  • Ensure documents meet project quality and compliance requirements, including formatting, signatures, metadata and approval workflows.
  • Support the compilation and management of quality records, handover documentation and project archives.
  • Train suppliers and delivery teams on document control processes, requirements and EDMS tools.
  • Act as the primary Document Control contact for delivery teams and suppliers, building strong working relationships across the project.
  • Produce progress reports and maintain complete audit trails to ensure robust information management practices.

Laing O'Rourke and the CWA are recruiting for a Document Controller to support one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects, Sizewell C. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced document control professional to play a key role in ensuring the effective management, control, and delivery of project information across a complex, multidisciplinary environment. The role supports the Information Manager and is responsible for document control activities within the project EDMS (Asite).

Key Responsibilities

What Skills and Experience We Are Looking For
Essential

  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 and ISO 9001 document control principles.
  • Experience using Asite or other document control platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities.
