Job summary

Alstom in Bangalore is seeking a DMS Engineer to design and verify system requirements and architecture, focusing on modeling, simulation, and cybersecurity for critical rail systems. You will collaborate with Development, Validation & Verification, Solution and Project teams to ensure consistent subsystem specs, define architecture, and address cyber needs while supporting cross-functional design reviews.

• Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Engineering – IT, CS, ECE, EEE, or equivalent.
• 4–8 years of experience in software design, development, and validation.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS and Linux.
• Experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes clusters.

Your future role

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the consistency, compatibility, and reliability of our systems. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Development, Validation & Verification, Solution, and Project teams), define system architecture, and address cybersecurity needs, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of designing and verifying system requirements and architecture through modeling and simulation, but also supporting cross‑functional teams in technical design meetings.

We’ll look to you for:

• Conducting design reviews with key stakeholders
• Ensuring consistency and compatibility between all sub-system specifications
• Defining system architecture, operational modes, and functionalities
• Addressing and designing cybersecurity needs for the system
• Verifying system requirements and architecture design through modeling, simulation, and other verification meansCollaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment on goals and processes

• Strong communication skills and ability to influence and guide in a matrix organization
• Proficiency in technical writing and documentation
• Experience in automation scripting and test environment setup
