Job summary

Esyasoft in India is seeking a Project Lead to drive AMISP and Smart Metering deployments, coordinating field operations, system integration and stakeholder management to meet milestones and SLAs.

You will oversee meter installation, commissioning, and cross-functional collaboration while tracking KPIs, managing risks, and ensuring safety and compliance across assigned locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Telecommunications engineering or related field.
• MBA or Project Management certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of AMISP and Smart Metering projects.
• Manage meter installation, commissioning and field activities across areas.
• Coordinate with DISCOMs, utility officials, contractors and cross-functional teams.
• Monitor timelines, deliverables and resource allocation to ensure on-time delivery.
• Track installation progress, meter communication performance and KPIs.
• Support integration and deployment of HES, MDM, and utility apps.
• Identify risks and drive timely resolution; ensure compliance with contracts and safety rules.
• Review reports and present updates to management; manage field teams and vendors.
• Support customer escalations and ensure stakeholder communication.
• Drive continuous improvement to boost performance and efficiency.

Job Description:

The Project Lead will be responsible for driving the execution of AMISP projects, ensuring successful delivery of smart metering deployments across assigned locations. The role involves coordinating field operations, system integration, stakeholder management, and project monitoring to achieve project milestones, SLA commitments, and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of AMISP and Smart Metering projects.
  
• Manage smart meter installation, commissioning, and operational activities across assigned areas.
  
• Coordinate with DISCOMs, utility officials, contractors, and internal cross-functional teams.
  
• Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation to ensure on-time delivery.
  
• Track installation progress, meter communication performance, and operational KPIs.
  
• Support the integration and deployment of HES, MDM, communication networks, and utility applications.
  
• Identify project risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies, and drive timely resolution.
  
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly project reports and present updates to management.
  
• Manage field teams and vendors to maintain productivity, quality, and SLA adherence.
  
• Support customer escalations and ensure effective stakeholder communication.
  
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project performance and operational efficiency.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Telecommunications, or related Engineering discipline.
  
• MBA/Project Management certification is an added advantage.
  

Experience

• 8 to 10 years of experience in Energy & Utilities, Smart Metering, AMI, Smart Grid, or AMISP projects.
  
• Hands-on experience managing utility projects, field deployment teams, and vendor coordination.
  
• Experience working with DISCOMs and large-scale smart meter implementation programs.
