District Lead-Programmes

District Lead-Programmes will oversee the implementation of Azad’s key programmes in South Kolkata including Women with Wheels, Feminist Leadership, Azad Kishori, and Men for Gender Justice, ensuring quality, impact, and alignment with organizational goals.

Location: South Kolkata

Role Title: District Lead– Programmes

Experience Required: 5 years and above

Salary: 45,000- 50,000 per month

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage Azad’s programmes in South Kolkata.
• Facilitate all four programmes and respective teams (Women with Wheels, Feminist Leadership Program, Azad Kishori, & Men for Gender Justice) in planning and execution of their programmes as per the objective and approved plan and budgets, ensuring programme quality is maintained.
• Manage, analyze and optimise the utilisation of budget.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen programme execution.
• Identify capacity building needs of the team and ensure required interventions.
• Plan and organize campaigns for gender equality that encourage women to join NTL in communities, and participate in campaigns organized by other organisations on similar issues.
• Ensure the development of related IEC, required for programme implementation.
• Facilitate monthly meetings, quarterly programme reviews of the implementation of all programmes and present learning analysis to the leadership.
• Ensure that all training programmes in the centre are conducted in a professional and learning-oriented atmosphere.
• Lead a team of diverse people with flexibility and openness to new learning.
• Responsibility includes from enrollment to employment in WWW, which includes engagement with marginalized communities, holding transformative training programmes and interacting with the market to place the women.
• Ensure placement targets for the location are met in both 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler categories.
• Ensure women sustain in job in both 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler categories.
• Ensure marketing activities are carried out to develop new business opportunities to ensure women are placed in jobs as drivers.
• Coordinate with placement team to ensure retention of existing clients and onboarding of new clients.
• Bring in new customers/clients to ensure placement targets are met. Develop new business to deliver on plan targets for the year.
• Follow up with drivers, chauffeurs and riders on job and see if there is need for refresher course and organise that to ensure retention in job.

Professional & Educational Qualifications

• Graduate/Post Graduate degree in social work, sociology, gender studies, political science or Development studies.
• Good knowledge of Hindi & English and Bangla.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
