Job summary

Chandigarh University is seeking an experienced academic leader to head the University Institute of Teachers Training and Research (UITTR). The Director will steer teacher education programs, drive curriculum development, and foster research collaborations, ensuring high academic standards and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a strong background in higher education administration, NEP 2020 awareness, and strategic faculty development.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Education or a relevant allied discipline from a recognized university.
• M.Ed with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade.
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks, as applicable.
• Minimum 10–15 years of teaching and research experience, preferably in higher education or teacher education.
• At least 3–5 years of academic leadership or administrative experience as Director, Dean, Principal, HoD, or equivalent.
• Strong research profile and knowledge of NEP 2020, NCTE regulations, UGC guidelines, and academic quality assurance.
