Salesforce is seeking a Director, Technical Consulting (Marketing Cloud Next) to join our Global Delivery Centre in India. The role focuses on architecting and delivering end-to-end migrations from legacy platforms to Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next, with 50% billable work and senior technical leadership for global clients.

You will lead a team of architects, guide customers on Enterprise AI Architecture, and drive the evolution of AI-first delivery methodologies within the practice.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Salesforce is currently seeking a Director,Technical Consulting (Marketing Cloud Next) to join our Global Delivery Centre (GDC) team. We are looking for an experienced professional services leader who has experience in scaling professional services delivery centers across the world. In addition The Director - Marketing Cloud Next is an execution-focused technical leader responsible for architecting and delivering end-to-end migrations from legacy marketing platforms (Eloqua, Marketo, HubSpot, legacy SFMC) to Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next. As a foundational member of the Strategic Migration CoE and Migration Factory, you will act as primary technical authority for the Marketing Cloud Next track - owning the solution design, data architecture, subscriber migration strategy, journey migration blueprint, and Data Cloud unified profile design. You will combine deep Marketing Cloud Next platform expertise with advanced data migration methodologies to ensure that subscriber data, consent records, journeys, content and preference data are migrated with full integrity, compliance and zero business disruption. This role is 50% billable and in addition to people leadership, you will work with our customers and partners as a senior technical architect/program architect/CTO to solve critically important business challenges using Salesforce's Cloud.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a team of up to 8 direct reports , comprising Architects and potentially Managers, providing technical direction, mentorship, and performance leadership.
• Serve as a Senior/Principal Technical Architect for Marketing Cloud migration projects, contributing hands-on technical expertise and architectural leadership at approximately 50% utilization .
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the client, guiding customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies and Enterprise AI Architecture that drive increased business value.
• Identify and lead internal critical initiatives to grow the Industries Architects' consulting practice; serving as an active contributor to the community's overall knowledge base and expertise, specifically driving the evolution of an AI-First Delivery & Engineering methodology within the practice.
• Design the subscriber and audience data migration strategy , including data extension schema, subscriber key mapping, suppression list migration, consent record preservation (GDPR/CAN-SPAM/CASL) and historical send data handling.
• Architect the Salesforce Data Cloud implementation for unified customer profile design, identity resolution rules, data stream ingestion from source systems, and audience segmentation activation to Marketing Cloud Next.
• Own the journey migration blueprint - mapping legacy automation workflows, drip campaigns and triggered sends from source platforms to Marketing Cloud Next Journey Builder, including decision splits, wait steps and exit criteria.
• Define end-to-end data lineage including data profiling, cleansing logic, transformation mapping and reconciliation strategies for all subscriber objects, data extensions and consent tables.
• Lead functional and technical workshops. Demonstrate leadership skills in designing, delivering, testing, and deploying.
• Lead a project team of developers focused on driving optimized solutions for our clients leveraging Salesforce clouds.
• Manage customer expectations ; negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party stakeholders
• Establish trust with the customer's leadership , promoting and/or implementing best practices with Salesforce
• Highlight and manage risk areas in the solution in a proactive manner, and commit to seeing an issue through to completion

CORE TECHNICAL SKILLS - MUST HAVE

• Marketing Cloud Next Platform Depth: Advanced expertise in Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Mobile Studio, Advertising Studio and Contact Builder / Audience Builder.
• Data Cloud / CDP: Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud - data stream configuration, identity resolution, unified profile modelling, segmentation and activation to MC Next.
• Subscriber Data Architecture: Deep
