Job summary

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in Kerala, India seeks a Director – Sustainability to advance the university’s ESG agenda across academics, research, and campus operations. This senior leadership role reports to the Pro Vice-Chancellor and focuses on integrating sustainability throughout the institution.

The successful candidate will drive ESG frameworks, lead large-scale initiatives, build partnerships with government and industry, and promote sustainability education and community engagement.

Qualifications

• PhD in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in sustainability leadership or ESG roles.
• Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks, policies, and global best practices.
• Experience in leading large-scale sustainability initiatives or programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist and report to the Pro Vice-Chancellor in developing and implementing the university’s sustainability strategy.
