Job Description Why This Role Exists

Sprinklr is evolving from a collection of powerful product experiences into a more unified, AI-native platform that is easier to adopt, easier to understand, and easier to scale globally. As this transformation accelerates, Product Design needs stronger systems, clearer content, consistent interaction patterns, and disciplined coaching across a growing global team. The Director, Product Design & Content will lead India-based and globally distributed work across design systems, content design, product design standards, product operations, and intern or early-career development. This leader will establish practical operating models, quality bars, and coaching rhythms that help Sprinklr’s product experience become more coherent, usable, accessible, and AI-ready across product suites.

What Does Success Look Like

Lead and scale the product design systems, content design, product operations, and talent development functions that make Sprinklr easier to use, easier to build, and easier to understand. This role connects design patterns, product language, information architecture, onboarding experiences, operating rhythms, and coaching into one global Product Experience operating model.

Core Responsibilities
  • Team leadership: Lead a globally distributed team spanning Design Systems Product Designers, Content Designers, Product Designers, and interns, with clear expectations, coaching rhythms, development plans, and hiring support for India-based roles.
  • Design Systems leadership: Guide the evolution, adoption, and governance of Sprinklr’s design system so product teams can ship more consistent, accessible, reusable, and scalable experiences.
  • Content Design leadership: Build and mature the Content Design function, including UX writing, information architecture, in‑product guidance, naming conventions, terminology governance, and content standards.
  • Intern and early‑career development: Establish a repeatable model for onboarding, mentoring, reviewing, and developing interns, campus hires, bootcamp graduates, and early‑career designers so they can contribute meaningfully while building strong product design fundamentals.
  • Global operating model: Partner with the VP of Product Design and global Product Experience leaders to define how design systems, content design, product operations, and talent development scale across India, the United States, and distributed product teams.
  • Product quality governance: Set and uphold standards for usability, accessibility, interaction quality, information clarity, design system adherence, and implementation quality across priority product areas.
  • Cross‑functional partnership: Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, QA, UX Research, PMM, Customer Success, Sales Engineering, Support, Design Systems, and Data/AI teams to align product experience improvements with customer and business outcomes.
  • AI‑first experience enablement: Help teams apply design system patterns, content standards, trust and transparency principles, human‑in‑the‑loop patterns, and interaction guidance to AI‑assisted, adaptive, and agentic product experiences.
  • Operational discipline: Create practical rituals for design reviews, pattern intake, content review, critique, intern feedback, documentation, design QA, and cross‑team decision‑making.
  • Product Operations enablement: Help establish planning, intake, prioritization, documentation, tooling, review, and reporting practices that make Product Experience work more visible, measurable, and easier to execute across teams.
  • Evidence‑driven improvement: Use research insights, product usage data, support signals, adoption metrics, customer feedback, and design system utilization to prioritize improvements and demonstrate measurable impact.
Expected Outcomes

Design Systems adoption: Higher reuse of approved components, patterns, and interaction models across product suites.

Content Design foundation: Clear standards for product language, in‑app guidance, naming, taxonomy, and information architecture.

Intern development model: A structured program for onboarding, mentoring, assigning work, reviewing output, and developing intern talent.

Global team clarity: Clear ownership across Design Systems, Content Design, and intern coaching, with predictable ways of working across time zones.

Improved product coherence: More consistent experiences across Sprinklr’s unified platform, reducing cognitive load and improving discoverability.

Stronger delivery partnership: Better alignment with Product and Engineering on patterns, content, accessibility, and implementation quality.

Operational visibility: Clearer planning, intake, prioritization, documentation, and reporting practices that help Product Experience teams focus on the highest‑impact work.

Success Measures
  • Consistency: Increased design system adoption and reduced pattern fragmentation across product teams.
  • Usability: Improved clarity, findability, and task completion in workflows influenced by Design Systems and Content Design.
  • Content quality: Reduced ambiguity in labels, workflows, empty states, guidance, system messages, and product terminology.
  • Velocity: Faster design‑to‑build cycles through reusable components, clearer standards, and fewer alignment loops.
  • Talent growth: Interns and early‑career designers demonstrate measurable growth in design craft, product thinking, communication, and delivery maturity.
  • Cross‑functional trust: Product, Engineering, Research, and Field partners understand and rely on the design system, content standards, and review model.
  • Operational maturity: Product Experience priorities, status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes are easier to track, communicate, and act on across leadership, Product, and Engineering.
  • Global scalability: India‑based design leadership becomes a stronger hub for execution, coaching, systems thinking, and platform consistency.

  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including coaching designers, managing managers or senior ICs, and developing interns or early‑career talent.
  • Experience hiring, assessing, or developing India-based design talent through practical pathways such as campus placements, internships, academic projects, bootcamps, startup experience, agency work, freelance work, SaaS experience, or equivalent hands‑on product design experience.
  • Proven experience leading or partnering deeply with design systems teams, including component strategy, pattern governance, adoption, documentation, accessibility, and implementation partnership.

  • Strong product judgment and ability to connect design quality to adoption, retention, efficiency, customer confidence, revenue, and broader business outcomes.
  • Experience coaching interns, new hires, or early‑career designers through structured feedback, project planning, critique, portfolio review, and career development.
  • Expertise with modern product design tools and workflows, including Figma, FigJam, Figma Dev Mode, design systems, prototyping tools, Jira, Confluence, and AI‑assisted design or research tools.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, building new functions, and creating practical operating models that scale across distributed teams.
  • Experience establishing lightweight Product Operations practices, including intake models, planning rhythms, prioritization frameworks, documentation standards, tooling hygiene, status reporting, and cross‑functional governance.
Portfolio Expectations

Candidates should provide a portfolio that shows leadership across complex product systems, design systems, content design, product quality, and team development. Strong portfolios will demonstrate strategic product influence, complex system design, cross‑product patterns, mentoring or design quality leadership, research‑informed decisions, shipped enterprise or SaaS work, measurable product and customer impact, and the ability to shape direction across teams. • Background in customer experience, contact center, social media management, marketing technology, analytics, insights, or other enterprise workflow platforms.

The Director, Product Design & Content will partner closely with Product Design leadership, Product Management, Engineering, QA, UX Research, Content Design, Design Systems, Product Operations, Data/AI, Customer Success, Sales Engineering, Support, PMM, and regional leadership teams. The role has global scope and is expected to influence how Sprinklr builds coherent, AI‑ready product experiences and stronger operating practices across teams, locations, and product suites. Candidates should be comfortable with asynchronous collaboration and occasional schedule overlap with U.S. Pacific Time‑based stakeholders for key design reviews, planning discussions, and cross‑functional alignment.

We focus on our mission: Sprinklr was founded in 2009 to solve a big problem: growing enterprise complexity that separated brands from their customers. Our vision was clear: to unify fragmented teams, tools and data — helping large organizations build deeper, more meaningful connections with the people they serve. Today, Sprinklr has a unified, AI‑native platform for four product suites: Sprinklr Service, Sprinklr Social, Sprinklr Marketing, and Sprinklr Insights.

Sprinklr is here to do three things: Lead a new category of enterprise software that we call Unified‑CXM. Empower companies to deliver next generation, unified engagement journeys that reimagine the customer experience. Create a culture of customer obsession, with trust, teamwork, and accountability. We believe in our product: Customers who value exceptional customer experiences have what they need on our single unified platform, built with an operating system approach on a single codebase. That means that everything — and everyone — can work together to service, respond, sell, and market to customers on the channels they prefer.

While Unified Customer Experience Management (Unified‑CXM) as a category is just getting started, we are well on our way to creating a no‑compromise, unified approach to better customer experiences for the world’s leading enterprise brands.
