Job summary

Embark is seeking a Capital Projects PMO Consulting Director to lead strategic engagements spanning planning, execution, and governance of large-scale capital programs across infrastructure, energy, real estate, and industrial sectors.

You will advise on PMO setup, governance, risk management, digital transformation, and performance improvement, driving cross-functional teams and client relationships in a fast-paced, matrixed consulting environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in capital projects, infrastructure consulting, or project management.
• Proven PMO leadership for large-scale capital programs.
• Strong understanding of project controls, risk management, and digital tools.
• Experience in a Big 4 or top-tier consulting environment preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field; MBA or PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead PMO strategy and implementation for large government or private sector capital programs.
• Advise clients on governance frameworks, project controls, and performance metrics.
• Drive digital enablement through tools like Primavera, MS Project, Power BI, and ERP integrations.
• Manage cross-functional consulting teams across geographies and service lines.
• Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with Partners and Directors to shape go-to-market strategies.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within capital projects and infrastructure.
• Lead proposal development, client presentations, and contract negotiations.
• Build long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders.
• Represent the firm at industry forums, conferences, and client events.
• Contribute to white papers, case studies, and market insights on capital project delivery.
